- There have been studies conducted that looked at some of the most prolific serial killers and their childhoods to find the correlation between childhood abuse and their actions. The results were staggering in that most, if not all, dealt with some form of abuse.
- The real connection between serial killers and childhood abuse is the continued sense of being powerless. As children we are used and abused by adults and we have no power to stop it. As we grow up we are still used and abused by others, at school, at work, in general.
- Not all abused children become serial killers, and not all serial killers are victims of childhood abuse. However, the connection between the two cannot be dismissed as just coincidence.
I could name quite a few. John Wayne Gacy, who was constantly berated by his father, and yet he always tried to please him but he couldn't. His father died disappointed in him and that was a source of his rage for killing. Color focus download.

That's besides the point, but most definitely do have horrible childhoods. It's the rare ones that don't that interest me.
