Using Concrete Patching Compound

Clean debris from the crack in the same manner as when using masonry crack filler. Dampen the crack by spraying it with a garden hose.

Mix vinyl concrete patching compound with water in a bucket, according to the directions on the package.

Press the mixture into the crack with the pointed tip of a trowel. Fill the crack until it is even with the driveway surface. Use the flat bottom of the trowel to blend the patching compound with the surrounding driveway surface.

Tips
- Complete concrete repairs when the temperature of the concrete is at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Avoid driving on the driveway for a week to allow the patch to set completely.
- Use protective kneepads if you have long cracks that require you to be on your knees for long periods of time.
